Detailed Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Moshi
Upon arrival in Moshi, climbers will be transferred to their hotel to rest and prepare for the trek. A pre-climb briefing will be conducted to go over the itinerary and answer any questions.
Day 2: Lemosho Glades (2,200m) to Big Tree Camp (2,780m)
Climbers will drive to the Londorossi Gate before beginning their trek through the lush rainforest. The day’s hike will end at Big Tree Camp, where climbers will spend the night.
Day 3: Big Tree Camp to Shira 1 Camp (3,500m)
The trail will gradually ascend through the rainforest and Heath zone, eventually reaching the Moorland zone. Climbers will camp at Shira 1 Camp for the night.
Day 4: Shira 1 Camp to Shira 2 Camp (3,900m)
Today’s trek will take climbers through the Shira Plateau, offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Camp will be set up at Shira 2 Camp for the night.
Day 5: Shira 2 Camp to Barranco Camp (3,960m) via Lava Tower (4,640m)
