6 Days Big Cats Safari

Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

After breakfast in Arusha, depart for Tarangire National Park for rewarding game drives. Tarangire is renowned for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and diverse wildlife. During the dry season, large numbers of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, and giraffe gather along the Tarangire River, attracting predators.

Day 2: Tarangire / Lake Manyara Area – Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, drive towards the Serengeti National Park, passing through the Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro highlands. Enjoy scenic views as you enter the endless plains of the Serengeti, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the world’s most renowned wildlife sanctuaries.
Wildlife commonly seen includes lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, cheetahs, leopards, and hippos.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park – Full Day Game Drive

Spend a full day exploring the vast plains of the Serengeti with morning and afternoon game drives. This is prime territory for big cats, with excellent opportunities to see lions, leopards, and cheetahs hunting across the open savannah.

Day 4: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After an early morning game drive in the Serengeti, depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. En route, you have the optional opportunity to visit a Maasai village (optional and not included in the safari price).
During the visit, you will learn about Maasai culture, traditional bomas (houses), customs, and enjoy a traditional dance, with time to browse locally made beadwork.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

After breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive on the crater floor. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is the world’s largest unbroken volcanic caldera, home to over 30,000 large mammals including elephants, lions, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, and the rare black rhinoceros.
After an unforgettable wildlife experience, ascend the crater and drive back to Arusha. Overnight in Arusha can be arranged upon request.
