7-Day Wildebeest Migration & Big Cat Safari

Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

After breakfast in Arusha, depart for Tarangire National Park, approximately a 2-hour drive through scenic countryside and local villages.

Upon arrival, enjoy a game drive in this beautiful park, known for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and diverse wildlife including lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and numerous bird species.

Dinner and overnight at Marera Valley Lodge or similar (Full Board).

Day 2: Tarangire – Central Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Enjoy game viewing en route as you travel through stunning highlands and vast plains. Upon arrival in Central Serengeti, begin your game drive in one of the most wildlife-rich regions of the park, known for its year-round predator activity and abundant wildlife.

Dinner and overnight at Moyoni Luxury Tented Camp or similar (Full Board).

Day 3: Central Serengeti – Northern Serengeti (Migration Tracking)

After breakfast, drive toward the Northern Serengeti, one of the best areas to witness the Great Migration, especially during the Mara River crossing season.

Enjoy game viewing along the way while tracking large herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles. This region also offers excellent opportunities to see predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards.

Dinner and overnight at Moyoni Kogatende Luxury Tented Camp or similar (Full Board).

Day 4: Northern Serengeti – Full Day Migration Experience

Spend a full day exploring the Northern Serengeti, focusing on the Mara River and surrounding plains.

You may witness dramatic river crossings as thousands of wildebeest and zebras attempt to cross crocodile-filled waters while predators wait nearby. The area also supports resident wildlife including elephants, giraffes, hyenas, and big cats.

Dinner and overnight at Moyoni Kogatende Luxury Tented Camp or similar (Full Board).

Day 5: Northern Serengeti – Central Serengeti

Enjoy a morning game drive in Northern Serengeti before returning to the Central Serengeti.

This day offers excellent opportunities to observe big cats, including lions, leopards, and cheetahs, which are commonly found in this region. The central plains provide ideal conditions for predator sightings and wildlife photography.

Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Safari Lodge or similar (Full Board).

Day 6: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Highlands

After breakfast, depart Serengeti and drive toward the Ngorongoro Highlands.

Optional stop at Olduvai Gorge, an important archaeological site known for its contribution to the understanding of early human evolution.

Continue to the Ngorongoro area, enjoying scenic views along the way.

Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Wild Luxury Tented Camp or similar (Full Board).

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha / Airport

After breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive.

The crater is home to an incredible concentration of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffalo, zebras, hippos, flamingos, and the endangered black rhino. This unique ecosystem offers one of the best wildlife viewing experiences in Africa.

After lunch, ascend the crater and drive back to Arusha or transfer directly to the airport for your onward flight.

Optional overnight at Tulia Boutique Hotel (Bed & Breakfast) if required.
