Day Trip: Arusha – Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

You will be picked up early in the morning from your hotel in Arusha and depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Upon arrival, descend approximately 600 meters into the crater for a game drive on the crater floor.

The Ngorongoro Crater covers about 260 square kilometers and supports a remarkable diversity of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, hyenas, hippos, and flamingos. The crater is also one of the best places in Tanzania to spot the endangered black rhino.

You will enjoy a picnic lunch inside the crater while surrounded by spectacular scenery and wildlife.

In the afternoon, ascend the crater and begin your drive back to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon.
