Early Morning: Transfer to Gorilla Trekking Destination

Your adventure begins with an early pick-up from your lodge or designated meeting point. Our professional safari guide will accompany you and ensure smooth logistics throughout the day.

You will transfer to the designated national park (such as Bwindi Impenetrable National Park or Mgahinga Gorilla National Park in Uganda, depending on permit availability).

Upon arrival:

• Registration at park headquarters

• Briefing by park rangers

• Assignment to a habituated gorilla family

• Safety and trekking guidelines

Mid-Morning: Gorilla Trekking Experience

Accompanied by experienced ranger guides, you will trek through dense rainforest terrain in search of a mountain gorilla family.

The trek can take between 1 to 4 hours depending on the gorillas’ location. Along the way, enjoy:

• Lush tropical forest scenery

• Unique bird species

• Butterflies and other forest wildlife

• Insightful commentary from expert guides

Once the gorillas are located, you will spend one magical hour observing them in their natural habitat.

Witness:

• Gentle giants feeding and resting

• Mothers caring for their young

• Playful juveniles interacting

• The commanding presence of the silverback

Photography is allowed (without flash), giving you the opportunity to capture unforgettable memories.

Afternoon: Return Journey

After the trek, return to the park headquarters for certification of participation before beginning your transfer back.

A packed lunch and refreshments are provided to keep you energized throughout the day.

Arrive back at your accommodation in the evening with incredible memories of your close encounter with one of the world’s most endangered species.
