Day 1: Arrival and Scenic Drive to Volcanoes National Park

Upon your arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional guide, who will accompany you throughout your journey.

We will embark on a scenic drive to Volcanoes National Park, situated in the majestic Virunga Mountains. Along the way, enjoy Rwanda’s rolling hills, terraced farms, and vibrant local communities, capturing the essence of the country’s natural beauty.

Upon reaching your accommodation near the park, take time to relax, refresh, and prepare for the thrilling gorilla encounter awaiting you the following day.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Adventure

After an early breakfast, we transfer to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters for a briefing by expert park rangers. You will receive guidance on gorilla trekking etiquette and safety measures to ensure a responsible and respectful encounter.

The trek begins through the dense rainforest, guided by experienced trackers familiar with the gorillas’ habitat. Trekking times vary depending on the location of the gorilla group, but the reward is unparalleled.

Encounter a habituated gorilla family and observe their natural behaviors, from feeding and playing to social interactions within the group. You’ll have approximately one hour to enjoy this remarkable experience and capture unforgettable photographs.

After your gorilla encounter, return to the park headquarters before transferring back to Kigali, where you can explore the city or return directly to your accommodation.
