2 Days Bwindi Gorilla Trek

Day 1: Arrival in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Upon arrival in Bwindi, you will immediately feel the magic of this ancient rainforest. The park is known for its mist-covered hills, dense vegetation, and extraordinary biodiversity.

After check-in at your lodge:

• Meet your safari guide for a briefing

• Receive an introduction to gorilla trekking rules and safety guidelines

• Relax and prepare for the next day’s adventure

Depending on arrival time, you may enjoy:

• A guided community walk

• A cultural visit to the Batwa community

• Scenic relaxation at your lodge overlooking the forest

Overnight near Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Experience

Wake up early to the sounds of forest birds and prepare for the highlight of your journey.

After breakfast:

• Transfer to the park headquarters

• Registration and ranger briefing

• Assignment to a habituated gorilla family

Accompanied by experienced ranger guides and trackers, you will venture into the dense rainforest in search of the mountain gorillas. The trek may take between 1 to 5 hours depending on their location.

As you hike through thick vegetation and rugged terrain, your guide will share fascinating insights about:

• Forest ecosystems

• Medicinal plants

• Birdlife and other wildlife species

Then comes the unforgettable moment.

Once the gorillas are located, you will spend one precious hour observing them in their natural habitat.

Witness:
